Growing up, I was always the kid in class "who could draw." I had no idea what I wanted to do in college and I kind of fell into an art degree after taking many art classes during my first year or two. I went to the University of Louisiana at Monroe graduating with a BFA in 2002 focusing on graphic design, but had enough pottery credits that I probably had a focus in it too. Currently, I teach painting for enjoyment in the evenings for Vino Van Gogh.
Life has taken many turns throughout the years. I did graphic design for 5 years after college then decided after moving to Los Angeles that I didn't want to be behind a desk. After working from home & being with my daughter for a while, I ended up managing apartments and living in the complex I managed. Then we moved to the Quad Cities and I took on a studio in Bucktown Center for the Arts, where I eventually managed the building and ran a co-operative gallery. In 2013, we bought our first house and with direction from my agent, I decided to take the jump into Real Estate. I plan on assisting others in their Real Estate needs for the rest of my life! It really makes me happy and gives me a since of pride when I help that client find their first home.
